The Nine Network has signed-on former Home and Away star, Todd Lasance, for the third season of its drama, Rescue: Special Ops
.A production source confirmed that the Logie winning actor joins the series, along with Craig McLachlan, as a permanent member of the elite rescue division, The Sunday Telegraph reports.
Since departing the Seven Network‘s long-running soap last year, Lasance has starred in the small-screen adaptation of Tim Winton‘s novel, Cloudstreet.
Lasance will also feature in the first of three Underbelly File telemovies, Tell Them Lucifer Was Here, which is expected to premiere on Nine later this month.
However, his professional fortune hasn’t been without turmoil in his personal life. Last December, he was arrested at a Kings Cross nightclub for possession of cocaine. Subsequently, he was ordered to serve a twelve-month good-behaviour bond.
Filming on the new twenty-two episode season commences this week.
